The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is conducting a survey that the agency hopes will help make up future rules for docks and boatlifts. The 27-question survey is being sent out to boat owners and is asked to be returned by January 19th. The DNR will use survey results and comments from public meetings to make decisions on rules for docks and boatlifts that are on the state’s lakes, rivers and streams. In 2010, new rules regarding docks and boatlifts are expected to take effect.
